Veterans Affairs Office Interim Director, William Schultz, requested approval of a letter of support for the statewide veterans program called "Operation Welcome Home"; where veterans service offices connect veterans to needed benefits and services.
The deadline for this letter to be mailed preceded the possibility of board approval and ratification was deemed appropriate. Supervisor Santiago was unavailable to sign the letter and Supervisor Ray Nutting, acting as Vice Chair, signed on behalf of the Board of Supervisors.
