Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
This agreement will provide $146,000.00 in annual revenue and has been included in Probation's proposed budget for FY 2010/11.
Background:
The County of El Dorado has two established Juvenile Detention Facilities for the temporary or long term commitment of minors detained in accordance with the provisions of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.
Reason for Recommendation:
County of Calaveras desires to have a guarantee of four (4) beds available for placement of wards of its Juvenile Court in County of El Dorado Juvenile Detention Facilities. This agreement shall continue until such time as County of El Dorado or County of Calaveras gives 30 days written notice to the other.
The County of Calaveras Board of Supervisors approved and signed this agreement on May 18, 2010.
The County officer responsible for administering this Agreement is Gary Hudgeons, Interim Chief Probation Officer, or successor.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Chair to sign agreement #436-S1011.
2) Return one executed agreement to the Probation Department to forward to the County of Calaveras.
