Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change.  Non-financial Operational Agreement.

Reason for Recommendation: The Operational Agreement between the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the South Lake Tahoe Women's Center (Center) is necessary to enable the Center to access certain revenue sources through a competitive process and sets forth the roles of each party that further the mutual goal of providing maximum available assistance for crime victims residing on the eastern slope of the County.  The Center provides critical and necessary services to crime victims residing on the eastern slope, including, but not limited to, 24-hour availability to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Center works with DHS to ensure timely referrals and client access to appropriate services.

The current Operational Agreement (730-S0710) was executed on May 2, 2007 and is in effect until June 30, 2010.  There is no cost associated with this Operational Agreement.
