FUNDING: Erosion control projects are capitalized with any combination of grant funds from the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC), the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), or the United States Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (USFS).

Background:
On December 8, 2009, your Board authorized the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Right-of-Way Unit staff to proceed with the right-of-way acquisition process to order preliminary title reports and certified appraisals for twenty (20) privately owned parcels for the Sawmill 2 Bike Path Erosion Control Project (Project) #95165.
Reason for Recommendation:
DOT has been working to advance grant-funded projects for various drainage improvements in order to attain the desired environmental thresholds for water quality and soil conservation, and as such, would be a vast benefit to the quality of Lake Tahoe.
