EL DORADO COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
(Supervisorial Districts II, III and IV)
Vacancies: Two Directors (full terms) qualified & elected by Division
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint two nominees that filed: Joe Rose (Division 2) and Mark Johnson (Division 3).
GEORGETOWN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT (Supervisorial District IV)
Vacancy: One Director at Large (unexpired 2 year term)
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint one nominee that filed: Rod Williams.
LAKE VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT (Supervisorial Districts II & V)
Vacancies: Two Directors at Large (full terms)
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint two nominees that filed: Dave Huber and Robert Rossi.
MOSQUITO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT (Supervisorial District IV)

GEORGETOWN DIVIDE RECREATION DISTRICT (Supervisorial District IV)
Vacancies: Five Directors qualified by Area, elected at Large
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint five nominees that filed. Full Terms: Mary Sartori (Greenwood/Area 3) and Aloha Adams (Cool/Area 4); Unexpired 2 Year Terms: Esther Prunella (Georgetown/Area 1), Kenneth Spencer (Garden Valley/Kelsey/Area 2), and Kris Syversen (Pilot Hill/Area 5).
TAHOE CITY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT (Supervisorial District IV and V)
Vacancy: One Director at Large (full term)

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None
Reason for Recommendation: Pursuant to Election Code 10515, the Board of Supervisors must make the appointments of Special Districts that will not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot due to either an insufficient number or absence of nominees. The Board shall appoint all candidates who have filed declarations of candidacy and may appoint any nominees who have been recommended by the Directors of the District or the public. The nominees appointed shall qualify and take office and serve exactly as if elected at a general district election for the office.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Return signed minute order to the Registrar of Voters.
