District Attorney's Office recommending the Board declare a weapon as surplus and approve the transfer of a duty weapon to a retired District Attorney Supervising Investigator.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  The District Attorney's Office will receive the funds paid by the retired employee.
 
Reason for Recommendation: District Attorney Supervising Investigator, Robert Dougherty, recently retired and desires to buy his duty weapon for replacement value.  The weapon would normally be used as a trade-in.  The weapon is as follows with a quoted resale value by Newtown Firearms:  Glock 23, serial number KZD965, value of $200.00.  Legal transfer of ownership with be done through Newtown Firearms at no cost to the county.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Upon approval of the recommendation, the District Attorney's Office will process the necessary suprlus property transfer request and the sale of the weapon will be executed through Newtown Firearms.
