Background:
The Board of Supervisors has considered the request of Benjamin Foulk to abandon the drainage easement as shown on the final subdivision map of St. Andrews Village Unit No. 1, located on Parcel D of said map, and is submitted as Legistar item No. 10-1229.

Reason for Recommendation:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) has received an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication (IOD) for a replacement drainage easement for Parcel D of the Parcel Map filed in the office of the El Dorado County Recorder in Book 47 of Parcel Maps at Page 73, and being more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached IOD. This dedication is made by Benjamin Foulk to realign a previously dedicated drainage easement along the northerly boundary of said parcel, and is necessary to allow for additional commercial development. The subject property is also identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 125-040-23 and is situated between El Dorado Hills Boulevard and Park Drive, in El Dorado Hills.

The DOT’s staff has reviewed said IOD and recommends that the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the Resolution acknowledging but rejecting said IOD for a drainage easement at this time. Authorization for recording of said IOD is pursuant to Government Code Section 7050.
