Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement; this funding was anticipated and included in the fiscal year (FY) 2010-11 budget.

Background: The County of El Dorado has provided contracted Preparedness Coordinator services for Alpine County for several years. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) defines the activities and services to be provided by the Health Services Department Preparedness Program staff including, but not necessarily limited to: data collection, ensuring Alpine County staff participate in EDC Preparedness Program drills and activities, and the development of reports to the State on behalf of Alpine County.

Compensation for Services: A one-time payment in the amount of $50,000 within forty-five (45) days of final execution of this MOU.

Contract Termination: Either party may terminate this MOU without cause upon seven (7) days written notice to the other party. If such termination should occur, Alpine County will only be obligated to pay for satisfactory services rendered prior to the effective date of termination as set forth in the Notice of Termination. El Dorado County shall reimburse the prorated amount of any payment already recived that applies to services not yet rendered.
