Sheriff's Department recommending the Board accept, with thanks, the donation of a 2001 Ford E450 Cut-A-Way Bus, Plate No.1101407, Vehicle Identification Number 1FDXE45S41HA74148, from the El Dorado County Transit Authority to be used by said Department to transport inmates with disabilities to and from court.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None.
Reason for Recommendation: Currently, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department does not have a vehicle that can transport more than 10 inmates to the prisons at one time. In addition, the Sheriff's Department does not have an A.D.A compliant vehicle that can be used to transfer inmates with disabilities. Approval of this recommendation will provide the Sheriff's Department with a vehicle that can transport more than 10 inmates and is also A.D.A. compliant.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Title will be transferred to the El Dorado County Sheriff and the vehicle will be added to the Sheriff's inventory.
