Supervisor Briggs recommends Board authorize the Chairman to sign a letter in support of SB 726 (Berryhill), a proposal to authorize, until January 1, 2014, a county, by ordinance or resolution, to opt not to be subject to a regulation published in the California Building Standards Code requiring the installation of a fire sprinkler system in a single-family residential dwelling.
SB 726 has been referred to the Senate Committee on Transportation and Housing, pending a noticed hearing date.
