Sheriff's Office recommending the Board accept, with thanks, the donation of a Hitachi LCD Projector (Model CP-SX1350) from Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division that retails for approximately $3,700 and will be utilized for training, demonstrations and public displays during events through El Dorado County.

Reason for Recommendation: Mr. Milton Bassett is employed by Hitachi as an Assistant Manager for Product Technical Support and also volunteers his time with the Sheriff's STAR (Sheriff's Team of Active Retirees) Program. While working as a STAR Volunteer, Mr. Bassett overheard two Sheriff's Office staff discussing the need to purchase a projector for training and public outreach purposes. Subsequently, Mr. Bassett secured the donation from his company.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The projector will be added to the Sheriff's Office Fixed Asset inventory.
