Supervisor Nutting recommending Board sign a letter in support of comment letter submitted by the Regional Council of Rural Counties (RCRC) to the California Natural Resource Agency in reference to the Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP).

In May 2011 the RCRC Board of Directors reported on recent activities relating to the development of the BDCP. As a result, RCRC requested member counties send a letter to the Natural Resources Agency Deputy Secretary Jerry Meral urging him to ensure appropriate protections are included in the BDCP so programs and/or facilities implemented or constructed in the Delta will not result in the redirection of unmitigated adverse impacts on areas outside of the Delta. Enclosed is RCRC's suggested sample letter adapted to El Dorado County.
