Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The County will receive revenue of $720 per year for a twin "T" hangar at the Placerville Airport as set by Resolution 097-2010.

Reason for Recommendation:
Airport users with portable hangars must enter into a lease with the County for the use of Airport property in accordance with Ordinance Code Section 3.08.021. The Department of Transportation (Department) is requesting the County of El Dorado Airport Land Use Agreement for Hangars Lease # 339-L0711 be terminated with the former tenant who sold his interest in the hangar to a new owner. New tenants who purchase hangars would normally be assigned to the previous tenant's lease.

Department staff requested the new tenant enter into a new Airport Ground Lease for Portable Hangars (Lease Agreement). This enables Department staff to update the contractual language that is now required by the Federal Aviation Administration and the County. The current lease for hangar ground space will be replaced with the new Lease Agreement which contains the new language that was approved by the Airport Committee and the Board on August 18, 2009. Ground lease assignment fees have been paid and staff verified that a Change of Ownership Statement has been provided to the County Assessor's Office by the Lessee.
