Title
Recorder/Clerk/Registrar of Voters recommending the Board adopt Resolution 151-2011 Joining the National Moment of Remembrance of the 10th Anniversary of September 11th. (Est. Time: 10 Min.)
Body
This year will mark the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. To commemorate this occasion and pay tribute to those lost, Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (New Jersey) introduced, and the United States Senate unanimously passed, a resolution establishing a national Moment of Remembrance at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on September 11, 2011. The Moment of Remembrance is a symbol of solidarity whereby every person in the country is called upon to stop and remember those we lost in the September 11th attacks for one full minute. Cities and counties, firehouse, churches and other institutions across the country are called upon to sound sirens and ring bells for the full moment to signal to the public to stop and remember the people lost and demonstrate the perseverance the American people have shown since that fateful day.

Adoption of Resolution 151-2011 by the Board recognizes the Moment of Remembrance and signals the County's participation.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
The Clerk of the Board will forward a copy of the adopted resolution to Senator Frank R. Lautenberg and a copy to Mr. William Schultz, Interim Director of El Dorado County Veteran's Affairs.
