Title
Acting as the Governing Board of the El Dorado County Public Housing Authority:

HEARING - Public Housing Authority recommending the Governing Board, adopt a Public Housing Authority Resolution to approve an amendment to Chapters 4 and 11 of the Public Housing Authority Administrative Plan for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program to update interim and annual reexamination processes, raise the income threshold that triggers a recalculation of rental assistance, and amend local waitlist preferences to improve the program administrative efficiency. (Est. Time: 5 Min.)
Body

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  No change.

Reason for Recommendation:
The Board adopted a local Administrative Plan establishing policies for the Public Housing Authority on September 12, 1995.  The Administrative Plan must be amended periodically to keep the Plan consistent with changes initiated at the Federal level and reflect any local policy changes.  Current changes to the Administrative Plan reflect changes to local policies to improve program administrative efficiency.  Chapter 4, Applications, Waitlist, and Tenant Selection, is updated to amend the local preferences for placement on the waitlist.  Chapter 11, Reexaminations, is updated to revise the interim and annual reexamination process and to increase the income threshold that triggers a recalculation of rental assistance.
