Department of Transportation recommending the Board adopt Resolution 171-2011 sanctioning the closure of roads in the Apple Hill area of Camino on Sunday, November 6, 2011, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., for the “32nd Apple Hill Harvest Run” Event, subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 and conditions set forth in the "Application for Road Closure."

Background: The 32nd Annual “Apple Hill Harvest Run” Event is sponsored by the Camino School Parents' Club and the Apple Hill Growers' Association. The Harvest Run will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and will start and finish at the Para Vi Winery. The sponsors have requested the road closures as follows:
Full Closure:
- Larsen Drive between North Canyon and Cable Road ............. (8:50 am -10:15 am)
- Larsen Drive between North Canyon and Carson Road ........... (7:00 am -11:15 am)
One Lane Closure:
- Barkley Road (EB) between Larsen Dr. and Carson Road ....... (8:50 am -10:30 am)
- Cable Road (NB) between Larsen Dr. and Carson Road ......... (9:00 am - 9:50 am)
- D Street (NB) between Carson Rd. and 2nd Street ................... (8:55 am - 9:30 am)
- 2nd Street (EB) between D Street and Larsen Drive ................. (8:55 am - 9:30 am)
- Carson Rd. (WB) between Larsen Dr. and North Canyon ......... (8:40 am -10:00 am)
- North Canyon (EB) between Carson Rd. and Larson Drive ..... (9:00 am -10:45 am)
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the road closures to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course, and to assist in the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
