Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement. MHSA funding for this Agreement is included in the Department’s FY 11/12 budget.

Compensation for Services: Payments will be made to Contractor based upon monthly invoicing at specified billing rates for actual services performed and documented per contract requirements. Services and rates are detailed in Article IV of the contract.

Contract Termination: This Agreement includes the County’s standard Fiscal Considerations termination language, as well as a provision for the County to terminate the Agreement without cause with seven (7) calendar days written notice.

Reason for Recommendation: One of the programs identified in the County’s approved Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Plan is a Primary Intervention Program (PIP) for elementary school students, grades K through 3, who may be experiencing mild to moderate school adjustment difficulties that may be a function of family stress. PIP is an evidence-based practice that has been supported by the California Department of Mental Health for many years.
