Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no Net County Cost associated with this agenda item.

Background:
Agreement CTA-07029 was originally approved by the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Board on July 20, 2007 and by the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors on March 25, 2008 for the replacement of the existing deteriorating culverts with an open span concrete arch culvert to improve fish habitat and also to remove fill material adjacent to the stream channel to improve floodplain function and riparian vegetation.

Reason for Recommendation:
Amendment 1 to Agreement CTA-07029 extends the term of the Agreement from June 30, 2011 to June 1, 2013 and will allow the Department of Transportation (Department) to continue post-construction activities such as monitoring and plant establishment.  Due to the State of California funding crisis, construction of the Project was delayed one (1) year and did not take place until 2010.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair's signature on the five originals of the subject grant Amendment.
2. The Clerk of the Board will return all five partially executed original sets and a certified copy of the Minute Order to the Department for CTC review and approval.

Action to be taken by the Department following Board approval:
1. Upon receiving the fully executed Agreement from the CTC, the Department will forward an original to the Clerk of the Board's office and retain a copy for its files.
