25-0842 13.Agenda ItemMike Roberts, from Save the Graves, presented an overview of the organizations efforts to place headstones and unmarked graves in Placerville Union Cemetery. Roberts reported that his team spent over 1,250 hours last year cleaning, straightening, and repairing multiple headstones in the cemetery.Roberts reported that, over the past year, his team faced both challenges and successes while working with a mini-grant from the Veterans Affairs Transient Occupancy Tax (VA TOT). 25-0844 14.Agenda ItemSean Campbell, Training Coordinator for Cal Vet, provided an overview of their programs. He outlined the various services Cal Vet offers to veterans and their families, including the College Tuition Fee Waiver, employment opportunities, and home loan options. Campbell also assured the Veteran Affairs Commission (VAC) that he would return when the ninth edition of the California Veterans Resource Book is released this summer.   Not available Not available
25-0928 1 Agenda ItemVeterans Service Officer (VSO) Brown reported that he and the Veterans Service Representatives (VSRs) would be attending the California Association of County Veterans Service Officers (CACVSO) Summer Virtual Training on Tuesdays, June 10th, 17th, and 24th. Due to these trainings, the Veteran Services Office will not be available for walk-in services on those dates. Additionally, South Lake Tahoe services will be moved to Thursdays in June to accommodate the training and ensure services for clients are not affected. Next, Brown reported that during the month of April, the Veterans Services Office received 91 walk-in visitors, 70 scheduled appointments, and 301 phone calls. Lastly, Brown reported that VSR II Tisha Holy will be returning to South Lake Tahoe for in-person services starting Tuesday, May 13th.   Not available Not available
