Probation Department and Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement 3873 with El Dorado County Office of Education, Adult Education Program, in an amount not to exceed $833,876.00 for the term of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 3873, including future amendments which do not increase the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, and contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
FUNDING: Public Safety Realignment Special Revenue Funds.

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Probation Department and Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board approve this agreement as it will allow El Dorado County Office of Education to continue providing the Title 15, Section 1061 of the California Administrative Code mandated educational services, including enhanced services, to both the Placerville and South Lake Tahoe Sheriff’s Office jail facilities along with the Community Corrections Center provided by Public Safety Realignment Revenue.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The contracted services the County Office of Education will provide is enhanced adult education services, school services, GED and diploma services at three locations: Main Placerville Jail, South Lake Tahoe Jail, and the Shingle Springs Community Corrections Center.
An expenditure line item for the County Office of Education has been a part of the Community Corrections Partnership Public Safety Realignment Implementation Plan and Budget since the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

CAO RECOMMENDATION
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There will be no fiscal impact or change to Net County Cost as all contract expenditures will be funded through the Public Safety Realignment Special Revenue Funds as part of the continued Community Corrections Partnership Public Safety Realignment Implementation Plan and Budget for FY 2019-2020. Funding for future years will be subject to appropriations in those years; the contract includes a provision for termination for non-appropriation of funds.

2 Clerk of the Board to return on (1) executed original Agreement to Probation Department at 3974 Durock Road, Suite 205, Shingle Springs, CA.
