Department of Transportation recommending the Board authorize the Chair to sign Amendment III to Facility Use Agreement 355-09911 with Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless for the proposed addition of antennas to bring the amount permitted from 5 to 6 antennas and the right to install, operate, maintain, and repair additional and existing equipment on the South Lake Tahoe property located at 1352 and 1360 Johnson Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
FUNDING: Existing revenue generating agreement.

Background:
City of South Lake Tahoe granted the County of El Dorado an easement on parcel 025-010-21 for the construction and use of the property for Government Offices on March 22, 1983. As part of this easement a communication tower and equipment vault was constructed and installed. In 2006 the existing tower was deemed unsafe and needed to be replaced. On December 12, 2006 an agreement was executed by the Board with Verizon Wireless to install a New Monopole, antennas and equipment vault.
Reason for Recommendation:
This Amendment III to Facility Use Agreement 355-09911 will enable Verizon Wireless to install an additional antenna, operate, maintain, and repair the six (6) antennas and appurtenances on the New Monopole, provide installation and maintenance of utility wires, poles, cables, conduits, and pipes running between the antennas and the subject parcel.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. Upon execution by the Board of Supervisors, the Clerk of the Board will forward three (3) original copies to Property Services Unit of Department of Transportation.
2. Property Services will forward to Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless for signature.
3. Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless will return to Property Services two (2) fully executed original copies of this amendment.
4. Upon receipt of fully executed original copies, Property Services Unit will forward one (1) fully executed original copy to the Clerk of the Board to file.
