b. Review and approve the recommendations to the Public Safety Realignment Strategic Plan.

In September 2022, the Community Corrections Partnership approved a contract with Rane Community Development, to assist the Executive Committee in updating the Public Safety Realignment Plan.
In May of 2023, key stakeholders of El Dorado County’s Community Corrections Partnership met over a two-day workshop to discuss the purpose and intent of the public safety realignment, local impacts, needs, opportunities, and challenges, and to develop strategic directions to advance and support public safety under California’s Public Safety Realignment (AB 109) and subsequent related legislation. During late Spring and Summer of 2023, Rane Community Development worked with El Dorado County (EDC) justice stakeholders to examine opportunities to improve public safety under California’s Public Safety Realignment, and as implemented by EDC’s Community Corrections Partnership (CCP).
In February 2024 (Item 24-0120), the Community Corrections Partnership approved the stakeholder interview findings document, planning recommendations for the pubic safety realignment local plan, as well as approving the next steps to complete the strategic plan and develop the funding plan.
Since the last Community Corrections Partnership meeting, Rane Consulting has created the Public Safety Realignment Strategic Plan that has the following exhibits:
