DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Chief Administrative Office, Economic Development Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to execute Amendment I to Agreement 110-F1711 with Tahoe Prosperity Center to correct an error in Exhibit “A”, Project Description; and
2) Authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to execute Amendment I to Agreement 116-F1711 with El Dorado County Farm Trails Association to extend the term of the Agreement to December 31, 2017 to allow for the completion of the Projects, and to revise Exhibit “A”, Project Description, to clarify the tasks and deliverables of the Project.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On June 16, 2016 the Board of Supervisors authorized the award of funding under the 2016 Economic Development Opportunity Grant Program and authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to execute one-year agreements with the awarded Grantees.
Subsequent to executing Agreement 110-F1711 with Tahoe Prosperity Center, an error was identified where erroneous language not related to this Grantee’s project was included in Exhibit “A”, Project Description. Amendment I to this agreement eliminates the erroneous language.
Subsequent to executing Agreement 116-F1711 with El Dorado County Farm Trails, the Grantee requested revisions and clarifications to the tasks and deliverables identified in Exhibit “A”, Project Description as well as a six-month contract extension to allow sufficient time for completion of all of the identified tasks. The requested revisions are consistent with the original intent of the funding to be used to promote tourism by expanding and marketing the Quilt Trail in El Dorado County. Amendment I to this Agreement revises the Project Description and extends the contract term through December 31, 2017.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose to not Authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to execute Amendment I to Agreement 116-F1711 with El Dorado County Farm Trails Association, extending the term of the Agreement to December 31, 2017 to allow for the completion of the Projects.
