Background:
County Road No. 1502 is a short connection road between State Hwy 89 and Meeks Bay Avenue in the SLT Meeks Bay Area. The residents have chosen Buttermilk Lane for historical significance.
Reason for Recommendation:
Residents of the Meeks Bay area have petitioned to change the name of County Road No. 1502. They have obtained nearly 30 signatures from agreeable property owners in the Meeks Bay Avenue area including those of the adjacent property owners. Surveyor's Office is recommending approval of the road name change pursuant to County Code 15.04.070 and Steets and Highway Codes 971.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Board to authorize and sign resolution order to change County Road No.1502 to Buttermilk Lane.
