Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Notice of Acceptance with Tim Paxin’s Pacific Excavation, Inc. for the Green Valley Road Traffic Signal Interconnect Project, Contract PW 14-31065, CIP 73151, P&C 017-C1699; and
2) Approve and authorize the Clerk of the Board to release the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety upon notification from the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, after the one-year guarantee period.
FUNDING: Highway Safety Improvement Program (86%) and Regional Surface Transportation Program Match Funds - Caltrans (14%). (Federal Funds)

Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation), recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Notice of Acceptance with Tim Paxin’s Pacific Excavation, Inc. for the Green Valley Road Traffic Signal Interconnect Project (Project), Contract No. PW 14-31065, CIP No. 73151, P&C No. 017-C1699; and
2) Approve and authorize the Clerk of the Board to release the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety upon notification from Transportation after the one-year guarantee period.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The contract for the Project was approved by the Board on July 21, 2015, item number 11. Construction was substantially completed on November 20, 2015. Recordation of the Notice of Acceptance will start legal time frames for guarantees, a lien period, and return of retention monies. Recordation of the Notice of Acceptance will also start the one-year time frame for releasing the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety.
