Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division is currently in the planning phase and studying alternatives for the Mosquito Road Bridge at South Fork American River Project (Project), located between Placerville and Swansboro.  The Project team will consider several options, impacts, benefits, conduct a value analysis, and work toward continuous Highway Bridge Program funding authorization for this safety Project.

The focus of this item is to present the status of the Project planning phase after the completion of geotechnical investigations, screening criteria, two public workshops, and recent California Department of Transportation Project meetings to review alternatives with preliminary cost estimates.  Materials from the public workshops and meeting minute summaries are posted on the Project website at http://www.edcgov.us/MosquitoBridge/.
