Body
DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
The Silver Springs Parkway to Bass Lake Road (south segment) Project (Project) is located in the community of Rescue approximately two miles north of US Highway 50 on Bass Lake Road. The proposed Project will construct a 0.25 mile divided two-lane roadway connecting the existing Silver Springs Parkway to Bass Lake Road. The Project will also realign and reconstruct Bass Lake Road approximately 800 feet south and 500 feet east of the proposed Silver Springs Parkway intersection and will include: Class II bike lanes, concrete sidewalks on both sides and a landscaped center median.
The Project requires the relocation of six PG&E poles along Bass Lake Road. Five of the six poles will remain within existing easements after relocation, or do not require easements for the purposes of the Project (i.e. service pole relocation). However, the Department of Transportation has determined that one PG&E pole which requires relocation will have two guy anchors (wires) that will fall outside of their existing easement. These guy anchors will need to be installed on a County-owned parcel. Granting the Easement will allow PG&E to relocate their pole as required by the Project.
