DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Community Hubs are a partnership between First 5 El Dorado, the El Dorado County (EDC) Library, EDC Early Care and Education Planning Council, EDC Child Abuse Prevention Council, and EDC Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA). The Community Hubs’ vision is to create healthy and strong communities throughout El Dorado County by building resiliency with families through collaborative community-based prevention and early intervention services. The Board approved prior agreement 071-F1711 that provided similar services for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2021, on June 28, 2016 with Legistar item 16-0554, and prior Agreement for Services 5766 that is almost identical in scope, for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 20, 2022 on June 29, 2021 with Legistar item 21-0897. Community Hubs are unique in that they leverage a variety of public funds and collaborative partners.
