Department of Transportation recommending the Board consider the following pertaining to the 2022 DOT Maintenance Pavement Rehabilitation Projects, Contract 6533:
1) Approve and adopt the Contract Documents; and
2) Authorize advertisement for bids.
FUNDING: Road Repair and Rehabilitation Act 2017 (SB1-RMRA) (90%), Developer Funds (10%). (No Federal Funds)

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The purpose of the 2022 DOT Maintenance Pavement Rehabilitation Projects (Project) is to repair various roadway sections on Cooper Way, Cold Creek Trail, Alice Lake Road, Humboldt Street, Del Norte Street, Pioneer Trail, Greenwood Road, Cash Boy Road, Crusader Road, Justine Court, Justine Avenue, Argonaut Drive, Sandy Court, Capella Drive, Koki Lane, Bass Lake Road, El Dorado Hills Boulevard, Palamino Court, Appaloosa Court, and Shadowfax Lane in the respective communities of South Lake Tahoe, Georgetown, Diamond Springs, and El Dorado Hills areas of El Dorado County by removing the failing asphalt section and replacing with hot mix asphalt. Due to current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requirements and regulations, four (4) existing non-standard curb ramps within the Project area are required to be brought up to current standards as part of the Project. Contract #6533 is estimated to have a construction phase total cost of $1,250,000.
This Project does not have federal funding; thus, only California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance is required. A CEQA Notice of Exemption was filed on April 25, 2022. This Project does not require any environmental permits or additional right of way to be acquired.
ALTERNATIVES
1) The Board could choose not to approve the Contract Documents. Transportation will make any changes requested by the Board and return at a later date.
