Community Development Services, Department of Transportation, recommending the Board approve the following:
1) Award Bid 19-961-014 for Hauling Services for the West Slope of El Dorado County to the low qualified bidder, Blain Stumpf Trucking of Shingle Springs, CA;
2) Authorize the Chair to sign an agreement for Hauling Services for the West Slope of El Dorado County in the amount of $450,000 for a thirty-six month (36-month) period beginning on January 1, 2019 ending on December 31, 2021; and
3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the contract amount and sign any additional amendments to the agreement for Hauling Services for the West Slope of El Dorado County on an "as needed" basis during the awarded period as long as funding is available within the requesting department's budget.
FUNDING: Road Fund Discretionary, Senate Bill 1 - RMRA.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Road materials hauling services for the West Slope of El Dorado County is required to complete road work in a timely manner. The completion of road work would be at a much slower rate or not at all if only the County equipment was to be utilized to haul materials.
These same services were approved by the Board of Supervisors on 11/17/2015 #06.
ALTERNATIVES
Have the Department of Transportation only utilize County equipment for the hauling of materials for the West Slope of El Dorado County which would cause road work to be completed at a much slower rate or not at all.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is available within the Department of Transportation's Road Fund Discretionary budget for Hauling Services for the West Slope of El Dorado County, and will be included in future years' budgets for the thirty-six month (36-month) period ending on December 31, 2021.
