Receive report on Public Safety Realignment Strategic Plan Update

In September 2022, the Community Corrections Partnership approved a contract with Rane Community Development, to assist the Executive Committee in updating the Public Safety Realignment Plan.
In May of 2023, key stakeholders of El Dorado County’s Community Corrections Partnership met over a two-day workshop to discuss the purpose and intent of the public safety realignment, local impacts, needs, opportunities, and challenges, and to develop strategic directions to advance and support public safety under California’s Public Safety Realignment (AB 109) and subsequent related legislation. Planning is underway for next steps which include, reviewing data describing local practices and service delivery trends, interviews, and site visits. Next stakeholder meeting is targeted for late July 2023 or early August 2023 to select shared measures and refine funding approach.
