Title
Receive update on the data plan for tracking Recidivism.
Body
The Community Corrections Partnership, Executive Committee, defined recidivism on May 24, 2016, as the tendency for a convicted offender to reoffend. There were 3 measures defined to be used to provide the local recidivism rates.
Measure 1: New conviction for a misdemeanor and/or felony;
Measure 2: Return to custody for the following reasons: a) non-technical (new offense) revocation of supervision, and b) new offense with probable cause declaration; and
Measure 3: Sustained revocation of supervision for what would otherwise be a criminal offense that did not result in a custodial sanction.
At this time there are many collaborative efforts underway to identify the data points and systems in which they are captured. Additionally, there are many software system upgrades underway that will enhance shared data collection as well.
