Clerk of the Board of Supervisors recommending the Board appoint the following people to serve as members on the Trails Advisory Committee for terms to expire January 2015:
1) Lynn Murray; 2) Carolyn Gilmore; 3) Lindell Price; and 4) Michael Kenison. (Refer 1/4/11, Item 17)

On October 3, 1989 the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 302-89, which established the Trails Advisory Committee which shall be a subcommittee of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
On March 19, 1996 the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 58-96 which amended Resolution 302-89 reducing the members from eleven members to seven members.
Per Resolution 58-96, the members are chosen and appointed as follows:
1. Qualifications for membership:
a) The Trails Advisory Committee (TAC) shall consist of seven members. Members shall be residents of El Dorado County broad based, and shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors from the public sector and from organized recreational members.
2. Nomination and Appointment:
a) Candidates for vacancies shall be solicited by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors who shall post a notice of vacancy in the County Administration Center. The notice shall state the type of vacancy, and shall specify the qualifications for appointment. Nominations shall be accepted for not less than ten (10) days after posting.
b) Appointments shall be made at any regularly scheduled meeting of the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. In the event that there are insufficient nominations for membership, the Board of Supervisors may make any appointment it deems in the interest of the public.
3. Terms:
a) Members will be appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a term of four (4) years.
