DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Since 2009, El Dorado County has purchased services for Dell branded products through NASPO Agreement No. NMWNC-108. The Board is being asked to authorize the continued utilization of the NASPO agreement through 07/31/22 and increase the available funds by $70,000.
Contract 83 originally had a not-to-exceed (NTE) amount of $49,228.87. Board approved change orders over the life of the contract have increased the NTE to a total of $182,316.37. Approval of this Board item will allow us to increase the NTE by $70,000, to $252,316.37, to cover the anticipated annual expenses for the coming period.
Contract 83 has previously been brought before the board as a perpetual agreement; however, it will be treated as a standard agreement going forward to align with the expiration date of Amendment III to the NASPO Agreement NMWNC-108. The third amendment to the NASPO agreement went into effect 08/01/21 and has an expiration date of 07/31/22. Board approval of the term extension will allow the County to continue to utilize the NASPO contract to purchase Dell computer equipment, peripherals, and server maintenance licenses through July 31, 2022.
