DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
To ensure compliance with Senate Bill 142 and added Labor Code section 1034, the County of El Dorado (County) has developed a policy regarding lactation accommodation and break times. This policy includes employees’ rights and a procedure. Additionally, the policy will be provided to new employees upon hire and when an employee makes an inquiry about or requests parental leave.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board may choose not to approve the proposed Lactation Accommodation and Break Policy and direct Human Resources to make revisions.
