Surveyor's Office recommending the Board:
1) Acknowledge and consent to the making of an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication for a Pedestrian Easement on Assessor’s Parcel number 124-301-46;
2) Acknowledge and consent to the making of an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication for a Traffic Signal Easement on Assessor’s Parcel number 124-301-46; and
3) Authorize the Chair to sign the Consent To The Making Of An Irrevocable Offer Of Dedication for the Pedestrian Easement and for the Traffic Signal Easement and to record the Irrevocable Offer of Dedication documents, with the Consent attached to the applicable dedication. Authorization for recording said Offer is pursuant to Government Code Section 7050.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Surveyor's Office received an application from Cameron Park Petroleum, Inc., a California Corporation, for an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication (IOD) for a Pedestrian Easement, and an IOD for a Traffic Signal Easement on Assessor’s Parcel Number 124-301-46. Both dedications are to remain in effect and run with the land until such time as the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of necessity for public purposes and accepts said offer by resolution.The dedications are more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted on Exhibit “B” of the applicable dedications. The Traffic Signal Easement is being offered to provide access and maintenance to the County for the traffic signal located at the corner of Green Valley Road and Sophia Parkway. The Pedestrian Easement is being offered because a portion of the proposed sidewalk is located on private property.
ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not accept the Irrevocable Offer of Dedications. By utilizing this alternative, the County or developers would be unable to make needed improvements to Green Valley Road and Sophia Parkway.
