Title: Department of Transportation recommending the Board: 1) Make findings pursuant to Article II, Section 210 b (6) of the El Dorado County Charter that there are specialty skills required for the work performed under this Amendment that are not expressly identified in County job classifications; and 2) Authorize the Chair to sign the Second Amendment to Agreement for Services No. AGMT 08-52526 with Reinard W. There is no fiscal impact associated with this agenda item.

Background:
The original Agreement #625-S0811, as approved by the Board on February 26, 2008, was prepared by the General Services Department and provides for airport consulting, planning, environmental, geotechnical, design engineering and construction engineering services associated with County Airport facilities.

On March 15, 2011 the Board approved the First Amendment to Agreement for Services # AGMT 08-52526 (#625-S0811), which extended the term of the Agreement from March 20, 2011 to December 31, 2011, to allow the Consultant additional time to complete design engineering work that was in process for the Habitat/Security Fence and Gates Project No. 93124 (Project) at the Placerville Airport, and for the Department of Transportation (Department) to complete a Request for Qualifications process for a new contract.
