Title
Chief Administrative Office requesting the Board;
1) Receive and file the Organization Review report of the Department of Transportation and;
2) Approve the proposed Action Plan to address the issues highlighted in that Review as well as other Board priorities. (Est. Time: 30 Min.)

Background:  In May, the Board of Supervisors directed the Chief Administrative Office to conduct an Organizational Review of the Department of Transportation (DOT).  Almost 40 employees participated in that effort.  Attachment 5A is a copy of the Organization Review report.
 
Reason for Recommendation: Attachment 5B includes a proposed Action Plan for the Department of Transportation.  This action plan incorporates suggestions from the Organization Review report as well as some broader Board goals related to overall interaction between multiple community development departments.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  Chief Administrative Office will implement Phase I of the proposed Action Plan.
