Title: Health and Human Services Agency, Social Services Division, recommending the Board ratify the submittal of an initial grant application to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to participate in their Innovative Projects program, which is associated with the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education program, in the not-to-exceed amount of $300,000 for Federal Fiscal Years 2012 and 2013; and further authorize the Director of Health and Human Services to execute, upon receipt, any additional documents required by CDSS from the Health and Human Services to complete the grant application process. If the grant application is successful, the Health and Human Services Agency will return to Board with grant documents for execution.
