Title: Health and Human Services Agency, Community Services Division, recommending the Board adopt Resolution 027-2012 authorizing the Chair to sign Amendment 1 to Agreement AP-1112-29 with the California Department of Aging, increasing the maximum grant amount by $7,323 from $933,849 to $941,172, with no change to the term, for the provision of senior services during FY 2011-12. The resolution further authorizes the El Dorado County Area Agency on Aging Director, or successor, to continue to administer Agreement AP-1112-29 as amended and execute subsequent documents relating to said Agreement, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, and any subsequent required fiscal and programmatic reports. Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change. Amendment 1 to AP-1112-29 reflects an increase of $8,937 in reallocated unspent FY 2010-11 federal funding and a decrease of $1,614 in Nutrition Services Incentive Program and Title IIIC funding for a total increase of $7,323. This funding is included in the FY 2011-12 County Budget.

Reason for Recommendation: On June 14, 2011 the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 085-2011 authorizing the execution of Agreement AP-1112-29 in the amount of $933,849 in federal and state funding for provision of Older Americans Act senior services during FY 2011-12. Amendment 1 to Agreement AP-1112-29 increases the 2011-12 grant by a total of $7,323 in one-time-only funds and reflects adjustments made per program.
