Background
Shingle Springs Fire Protection District made application for a Special Use Permit (S08-0020) in order to replace an existing fire station with a new 9,094 square foot fire station and to erect a six-foot tall monument / LED reader board sign. On January 8, 2009 the Planning Commission granted their request with conditions and this IOD is intended to meet condition # 10. Since that time, the Shingle Springs Fire Protection District has merged with the El Dorado County Fire Protection District who has continued to process this IOD.

The County Surveyor's Office received an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication (IOD) for road right of way, in fee, and a public utilities easement, located on a portion of Assessor’s Parcel Number 070-250-08, and being more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached IOD. Said dedication is made by El Dorado County Fire Protection District, a public entity, which is necessary in order to satifsfy a condition of approval of Special Use Permit No. S08-0020. The subject property is located north of
U. S Highway 50 and west of Ponderosa Road in Shingle Springs.

The Department has reviewed said offer and recommends that the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the Resolution accepting said offer for road right of way, in fee, and a public utilities easement at this time. Authorization for recording said offer is pursuant to Government Code Secti...
