Background:
On February 15, 2011 the Board approved Grant Agreement CBG-09-177 (County AGMT No. 11-53140) in the amount of $812,423. The Grant Agreement specified several energy efficiency projects including the replacement of safety lighting for County-owned and County-maintained traffic signals and for parking lot lighting at County-owned facilities.
On December 6, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement PW 11-30623 (Agreement) with PG&E for the LED Street Light/Parking Area Lighting Turnkey Replacement Service. The Agreement included: 1) replacement of seventy-seven (77) parking light fixtures with LED lights at designated parking lots at the County’s Placerville campus; and 2) replacement of one hundred sixty-six (166) street light fixtures with LED lights for designated County-maintained traffic signals located in Western El Dorado County. Under this Agreement, PG&E ordered the County-specified light fixtures, and installed the PG&E authorized fixtures as replacements to existing County-owned street lights and parking lot lights, utilizing PG&E’s subcontractor Ostendorf Electric.
The not-to-exceed amount of the Agreement is $328,199.00.
The Accepted Proposal for the street light fixtures is in the amount of $160,373.00.
The Accepted Proposal for the parking light fixtures is in the amount of $127,745.
The Total Cost to replace and install all the fixtures under this Agreement is $288,118.00.
