Background
The “Ruff Road Mile and 5K” Event is sponsored by the Oak Ridge High School Track & Field Team. The Event will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The Mile Run begins at the intersection of Serrano / Silva Valley Parkways; runners turn left onto Harvard Way; followed by another left into the Oak Ridge High School Parking lot to cross the finish line at the school stadium.

The 5K Run begins at the intersection of Serrano / Silva Valley Parkways; runners will be travelling north on the Southbound side of Silva Valley Parkway runners turn left onto Harvard Way; continuing to Tah Nee Way (left); Woedee Drive (right); following Woedee Drive until it connects to the New York Creek Pedestrian/Nature Path; runners proceed up New York Creek Pedestrian/Nature Trail until they reach the El Dorado Hills Blvd. / Harvard Way Intersection; then proceed down Harvard Way to the Oak Ridge High School Parking lot to cross the finish line at the school stadium.

The sponsors have requested the road closures between 7:00 a.m and 8:30 a.m. as follows:

- Silva Valley Road (Northbound) between Harvard Way & Serrano Parkway
- Golden Eagle Lane and Silva Valley Parkway Intersection
- Harvard Way between Silva Valley Parkway & El Dorado Hills Blvd.
- Clermont Way and Harvard Way Intersection
- Tah Nee Way between Harvard Way & Woedee Drive
- Woedee Drive between Tah Nee Way to the New York Creek Pedestrian/Nature Trail
