Health and Human Services Agency, Mental Health Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Authorize the Chair to sign Amendment I to Agreement for Services 065-S1310 with LocumTenens.com, LLC, for access to medical practitioners for the provision of mental health services, increasing the maximum contractual obligation by $399,456 to $460,800 and with no change to the term of August 6, 2012 through August 5, 2015; and
2) Authorize the Chief Administrative Officer or their designee to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 065-S1310, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, which do not affect the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement.
FUNDING: Federal and State funding.

There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement. Sufficient appropriations were included in the FY 2013-14 Budget Request, and will be included in subsequent Budget Requests for the term of the Agreement.
Background
On August 6, 2012, the original Agreement was approved by the Purchasing Agent in the amount of $61,344, with a term effective on signature through August 5, 2015.
LocumTenens.com, LLC provides access to medical practitioners on an “as requested” basis to provide supplemental psychiatric services. The County has been unsuccessful in recruiting permanent part- or full-time psychiatrists despite long-term and continuous recruitment processes. LocumTenens.com has been successfully providing supplemental psychiatrist staffing on an “as requested” basis during the term of this Agreement.
