Background
On September 20, 2013 the Board expressed interest in developing a policy to recognize donors who wish to support the facility and equipment needs of the West Slope Animal Shelter.  This item was a follow up to a December 2011 discussion, but was put on hold pending a final shelter location and site plan.
 
Reason for Recommendation
Staff from Animal Services, Chief Administrative Office, and Facilities have worked together with representatives of People for Animal Welfare in El Dorado County (PAWED) and the El Dorado Community Foundation to draft the attached policy for Board consideration.
 
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
Board Clerk to include policy in Board of Supervisors policy manual.
