Background
On April 30, 2013, the Board approved the submittal of the Probation Department's re-application and plan to the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) for continued funding of the CART Program from the JJCPA (13-0319, Item No. 14). Program effectiveness is measured by eight standards: arrest rate, completion of probation, incarceration rate, rate of completion of restitution, rate of completion of court-ordered community service, probation violation rate, grade point average, and unexcused class absence rate. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013 outcomes are detailed in the attached report.
