Background
The California Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) Forum Board established the CUPA Forum Environmental Protection Trust Fund (Fund) to enhance the investigation and enforcement of the State of California statutes and associated implementing regulations. The Fund is established to disburse and manage monies primarily from case settlements as adjudicated through the efforts of local, State, and Federal prosecutors.
Community Development Agency, Environmental Management Division (CDA/EMD) applied for and received notification of the grant award in an amount up to $9,800 for the Grant term of July 1, 2014 through July 1, 2016. The grant will be used to purchase four (4) self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) bottles that are reaching the end of their useful life span.
