Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no change to net County cost. The El Dorado Trail from Los Trampas Drive to Halcon Road Project (CIP Project No. 97012) is included in the budget and is included in the 2014 Capital Improvement Program.

Background:
In October 2010, the Transportation Division (Transportation) submitted a project grant application to the California Department of Parks and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Program (RTP). The proposed RTP project is to design and construct an extension of the El Dorado Trail from its current terminus at Los Trampas Drive which is a private road to Halcon Road.

Transportation requested $62,400 in El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) funds to match the $457,979 FY 2010/11 RTP grant and on October 7, 2010 the EDCTC Board adopted Resolution 10/11.03-A allocating $62,400 in Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 funds to Transportation for the Project.

On October 8, 2013, the Board approved the RTP grant agreement for $457,979.

The approved 2014 Capital Improvement Program lists the total project cost estimate as $1,050,000. Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funds, Pollock Pines/Camino Park Zone of Benefit funds, and Accumulative Capital Outlay funds will be utilized in addition to the RTP grant and TDA funds.

Following Board approval Transportation will submit claims for the funding...
