Background
On February 4, 2014, the Board authorized the signing of perpetual Maintenance Agreement No. 184-O1410 with NEC Corporation of America for maintenance of a Latent Finger Print Reader for the term August 5, 2013, to August 4, 2014.
This request is to continue that Agreement for another successive year term from August 5, 2014 to August 4, 2015, and increasing Blanket Purchase Order # 20140670 in the amount of $3,819.24 plus special maintenance service charges on an as needed basis.
Reason for Recommendation
Adoption of this recommendation will allow the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office to continue perpetual Maintenance Agreement 184-O1410 with NEC Corporation for maintenance of a latent finger print reader.
Per BOS Policy C-17, the Board is being requested to approve continuation of this contract since it is considered to be perpetual, with no fixed term end.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
The Sheriff's Office will work with Procurement and Contracts to increase the Blanket Purchase Order.
