Background
It has been determined that the trail will not need to be closed for this event.  The City of Placerville and El Dorado County, Parks Division will develop policies and procedures for large events on county trails. The "Sugarloaf Stampede Run" is a three course length event, 5K, 10K and 10 mile, sponsored by the Sugarloaf Station Foundation as a fundraiser for the Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp Foundation.  The run will begin on a section of the trail at Schnell School Road and continue to Halcon Road in Camino Heights.  A permit will be secured with the City of Placerville for the portion of the trail from Schnell School Road to Jacquier Road.  Flaggers will be located at each intersection, including intersection roads along the trail.  Additional volunteers will be located along the trail route and water stations will be located at three locations as well along the route.  The Sugarloaf Station Foundation will promote and facilitate the run, which will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 between 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
